“Cats” still snuggles in its furry leg-warmers and striped spandex-like skin. Yes, there have been some minor shake-ups. One of the big set-pieces from the second act has been let go, a couple of the costumes reference the rise of steampunk, the makeup has a more airbrushed artistry and the dances have extra swoops and flourishes, but otherwise this is the same lush, slick, kittenish alley-stalking show it’s been for nearly 40 years.
